City Winery New York presents Ian Hunter’s Birthday Celebrations, a long-standing tradition over the years, and the scene of some legendary shows by Ian and the Rant Band. We’re happy to say that the tradition returns this year – but with a twist. Iconic Texan troubadour Alejandro Escovedo joins the Rant Band for an evening of Ian Hunter songs, paying tribute to this living legend’s songbook.

We’re happy to say that the tradition returns this year – but with a twist. Iconic Texan troubadour Alejandro Escovedo joins the Rant Band for an evening of Ian Hunter songs, paying tribute to this living legend’s songbook. Past shows have always had some surprises, and we’re sure this year’s rendition won’t disappoint!

The Rant Band – so named by Ian Hunter – has been his touring and recording band for over twenty years, and was also the core band for the most recent Mott the Hoople tours.
